Steve is responsible for a large and diverse team of engineers and specialists who provide highly skilled technical and engineering support, allowing the port’s essential operations to function efficiently. Steve has direct oversight for all major capital projects, driving forwards the innovative growth of the port’s environmental and sustainable ambitions, a concept evident in the existing and new carbon-neutral terminal’s ground breaking environmental designs. Steve has led significant breakthroughs in the port becoming net carbon neutral by securing additional power capacity from the UK’s national grid and working with partners to develop, design, and direct an exciting new multi berth, multi vessel, multi voltage, multi frequency shore power system. This innovative project is under construction and due for completion in March 2025. Steve has a wealth of expertise in the newly emerging field of sustainable marine and maritime technologies.
